A very studious and serious eighth grade girl approached me
as I was leaving school today to ask me a question in private. She was dead serious when she posed the
question:
“Is it true that once you lose your virginity that you have
to either masturbate or have sex every week or you’ll die?”
Suppressing a smile, I thought about what life would be like
if this were true, before explaining to her that no, this was not the case.
Anyone who questions the value or need for sexual education
in the primary and secondary school system should spend a day with me.
